US Customs may require that "any controlled
substance" passing through may have a prescription. Shipments of personal
medication are not prohibited or unlawful. The purchaser cannot be
prosecuted importing them under the personal importation policies
of the FDA or US Customs.
In accordance with these guidelines and those relating to purchasing
drugs online, imports are usually allowed if:
1. the shipment is for personal use only
2. does not exceed a 90-day supply
3. the drug is not a controlled substance
